Richard W. Young, MD,
FACS
Dr. Young attended
Washington and Lee
University and graduated
summa cum laude with a
Bachelor of Science degree
in 1983. In 1987, he
graduated from the
Georgetown University School
of Medicine in Washington,
D.C. He completed a six-year
residency in general surgery
and urology at the
Georgetown University
Hospital before moving to
Myrtle Beach in 1993. He is
a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons.
He is currently Chairman
of the Department of Surgery
at Grand Strand Regional
Medical Center and serves on
the Board of the South
Carolina Urological Society.
