As this center specializes in urology, the technology and expertise of the staff is continuously updated.   Procedures that are commonly performed here include cystoscopy, transrectal ultrasound and prostate biopsy, retrograde pyelograms, minor prostate surgery, urodynamics, extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, transurethral resection of bladder tumors, obturator slings, ureteroscopy, direct vision internal urethrotomy, penile prostheses, and minor open surgery. 

 

There is a main operating room, a full cystoscopy suite with fluoroscopy, and a minor procedure room.  The recovery room has three full beds and three pre-op beds.   General, local and regional anesthesia is administered routinely.
