Kenneth E. Krzyzaniak, MD,  FACS



 

Dr. Krzyzaniak received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University in 1971 and also attained his MD degree at Indiana University in 1975. He completed a six-year residency at The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. This included Internship, General Surgery, Clinical Research, Renal Transplant, and Urologic Surgery.

 

He moved to South Carolina in 1981 and spent three years at The University of South Carolina School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. During that time he was also Chief of Urology at the Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, S.C., where he had the opportunity to teach both medical students and residents.

 

In 1984 he joined a private practice in Myrtle Beach and was subsequently one of the founders of Grand Strand Urology which has been dedicated to providing state of the art Urologic care to patients in this area.

 

Dr. Krzyzaniak was Board Certified by the American Board of Urology in 1983. He has also been active in medical professional organizations throughout his career and has served as Chief of Surgery at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, President of the Horry County Medical Society, President of The S.C. Urologic Association, and also served four years on the Board of the South East Section of the American Urologic Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he maintains membership in numerous organizations including the American Urologic Association, S.C. Urologic Association, S.C. Medical Association, and American Association of Clinical Urologists. He has been involved in community service and is past president of Surfside Rotary.

 

Dr. Krzyzaniak continues to have a strong interest in clinical research and is a certified Clinical Investigator. He has been involved in clinical research trials involving voiding disorders, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, BPH, ED, and device studies.

 

Dr. Krzyzaniak is committed to providing the highest standard of care, and he is best known by his patients and colleagues in Myrtle Beach as a compassionate thorough diagnostician and meticulous surgeon.
